Job Description

You will be responsible for creating and planning work orders based on sales and inventory demand.  You will be discussing those work orders with Inside Sales, Plant Manager, and Shop Supervisors to meet our customers’ needs.  You will be responsible for generating quarterly production forecasts with the assistance of sales to plan for our customers’ needs and the needs of ERL Houston, our Houston, TX service facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and Plan work orders to create an efficient pull system through the facility to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Create and distribute work order schedule to each area lead with a daily, weekly and monthly view updating the schedule as required.
  • Weekly meetings with Inside Sales, Plant Manager, and Shop Supervisors to make sure our customers’ needs are being met by ongoing production scheduling.
  • Coordinate Prototype and R&D work with Engineers and Sales on assigned projects.
  • Enter production routings for manufacturing processes determined by Process Planners and Design Engineers.
  • Create and Maintain Bill of Materials for Products, and ensure the appropriate relieving of material and items.
  • Work with Production Manager and Plant Manager on job priorities. Once job travelers are created, give them to the Shop Supervisors.
  • Daily entry of completed travelers into NetSuite.
  • Aid Purchasing by helping with material demand needs and material ordering when needed.
  • Coordinate with Houston Buyer to ensure service supply demand is being met.
  • Create new item part numbers in NetSuite and create new demand planning R+ records.
  • Maintain Intuiflow R+ Demand Planning records to update lead times, appropriate buffer profiles or min/max quantities to maintain appropriate inventory levels.  Work with Houston Buyer to ensure distributed items are stocked appropriately at both locations.  Update system demand requirements based on sales forecast to maintain consistency at both locations.
  • Maintain Negative Inventory Report to identify accurate inventory levels.  Coordinate with Shipping Supervisor to maintain accurate receiving of incoming orders.
  • Maintains overall inventory levels as specified by CFO and perform monthly cycle counts.
  • Maintain accurate on-hand inventory and appropriate inventory levels to meet the Sales Forecast.
